Pricing Changes

To Our Nationwide Community of Barbers,

The past few years have been an incredible ride. Together we’ve booked more than 8,000,000 appointments and grown to a community of over 1,000,000 users. Barbers all over the country, including PR and Canada, have made theCut a part of their daily routine. In order to continue empowering barbers to have more control over their business, increase their productivity, and grow their clientele, we are changing the way our pricing works. The new pricing model will mark a new chapter in the company. We’re excited for the opportunity to continue providing you with the best service, and committed to finding new ways to enrich the lives of both barbers and their clients.

Your account will continue to work normally for 30 days. Clients are unaffected by this change and do not have to take any action. Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been updated to reflect this change.


TRANSITIONING

Starting today, September 29th, 2019, all barbers will have access to PRO for a 30 day trial period. In those 30 days:

If you wish to continue using PRO: You can activate your PRO subscription by putting a payment method on file and we will charge you $20 at the end of your trial period to continue using PRO without interruption.

If you wish to change to LITE: You can either downgrade to LITE at anytime during the trial period, or, at the end of the trial, if you have not activated your PRO subscription by putting a payment method on file, you will automatically be downgraded to LITE. You may upgrade to PRO at anytime.

We have released an updated version of the iOS and Android app where you will be able to add a payment method and manage your subscription from your Settings. It is important that you update as soon as possible to ensure that the app continues to function properly for you. You can also add a payment method and manage your subscription by clicking below:

NEW PRICING

We are introducing two subscription levels described below:

PRO - $20/month

PRO is what you are currently using. For the price of a haircut, PRO gives you access to all of the features that theCut currently has to offer, and all of the new updates we will be releasing in the future.

*If you are a Mobile Pay user, or your entire shop is using theCut, reach out to us at billing@thecut.co about volume pricing.

LITE - FREE

LITE is a limited version of theCut. Barbers can still manually input appointments into the calendar, but clients will not be able to discover or book with LITE barbers themselves. Client management tools are also not included.
