Welcome to theCut University - A New Online Learning Platform for Barbers
When we say we love barbers, we mean it.
theCut has launched theCut University, a.k.a. theCut U, our brand new online learning resource for barbers. The platform offers video tutorials designed to help barbers improve their “soft skills,” build their brands, enhance their financial literacy and advance their careers.
"We are thrilled to offer these learnings to the barbering community," said Obi Omile, Jr. Co-Founder and CEO. "Our goal is to provide barbers with the tools and knowledge they need to improve their marketing and customer success skills and help them build their brand in order to stand out among other barbers.”
Created with barbers’ busy schedules in mind, this mini masterclass is comprised of tutorials that are brief but packed with useful information. The four-module curriculum is accessible via YouTube, making it easy for self-study — that way, you can learn at your own pace and on your own schedule. theCut U offers a wide variety of courses, including everything from how to avoid burnout at the shop to leveraging social media for brand building to how to sell a full suite of products and services to clients.
"We understand the challenges that many barbers are facing right now, especially after just coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic and now contending with an uncertain economy," said Omile. Despite this, the barber workforce is expected to grow 11% over the next ten years. "We believe that theCut U will support and empower barbers to take the next steps to create success for themselves and their families.”
Undaunted. Outspoken. Trailblazers. Trendsetters. Khane Kutzwell, Kiah Lyles, Oyinlola Isiaka, and Onyinye Obasi are just some of the women in barbering who are blazing trails as barbers and busting down toxic ideologies that have had a hold on barbering for entirely too long.
